WILDLAND PROTECTION

by CASPAR WIJNGAARD

Inspired by Wildland Protection & Restoration, this illustration depicts a powerful tree with a lotus flower-shaped crown, its roots twisting into a coral reef and then fanning out into grassland. Wildlife, people, and Miyazaki-inspired kodama enjoy the protected space beneath a sunset casting over a solarpunk city. Holy F**k!
